How to play Star Plots

The board is split into coloured plots. Place stars so that:

• every row has exactly one star,
• every column has exactly one star,
• every coloured plot has exactly one star, and
• no two stars touch, not even diagonally.

Controls

Tap a square once to mark it with × (a reminder that no star can go there), twice for a star, and a third time to clear it. Drag across empty squares to cross out several at once. Clashing stars are highlighted in red.

Tips

• Start with the smallest plots: a plot of one or two squares tells you a lot straight away.
• When you place a star, cross out its whole row, column, plot and the eight squares around it.
• If two plots sit entirely inside the same two rows, those two rows' stars must belong to them, so cross out everything else in those rows.

Every puzzle has exactly one solution, and you never need to guess. The daily puzzle changes at midnight on your device and is the same for everyone.
